interested in Becoming a member?
interest in joining the club is appreciated and the following will help you in that process.
You may already know we are an O-gauge 3-rail club that operates trains that run via Lionel TMCC (Cab 1 & 2, Legacy and LionChief) and MTH DCS. You may run in Conventional mode on the lower subway tracks. As a member you must bring your own engine(s) and you must have an end-of-train light, caboose, observation car or a flashing red end device. You may bring your own cars or use those on the layout that belong to the club. You should have your own handheld remote control.
Step 1: Complete the Membership Application Form and give it to the club Treasurer along with a $90 deposit that covers the 3 months probation while you learn the layout, switches, electronics, lights, etc.
Step 2: Work with a member of the club who will assist you in learning the layout, switches, electronics, lights, etc. Usually on Saturdays.
Step 3: If at the end of the 3-month probationary period you have demonstrated that you have learned the layout, switches, electronics, lights, etc. The club membership will vote you in as a new member. You must also pay $30 per month dues. Dues may be paid monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually.
Step 4: Once you have been voted in as a member, you will be given the combination to the door and you may enjoy running your trains anytime.
Step 5: As a member you have voting rights and you are expected to participate in volunteering to open the club and man the sign-in desk at least two Saturdays per quarter, attend at least two meetings per year, assist with projects, cleaning and maintaining the layout, building, staging room, etc. Club meetings are held the first Wednesday of every month from 7 to 8 p.m.
